Maseratis in movies

Maserati is a well known name in the field of luxury cars that spell elegance, style, and passion of the owner.  Maserati also manufactures sports cars that are equally popular as its luxury segment. Maseratis have been used in a number of movies besides regular usage in commercials and various sitcoms. Maserati serves a model for many occasions in the movies and the TV shows. Maserati is either used by the main character for the entire movie, or for some specific sequence, and at times, it is used only as a background vehicle.  The luxury car also forms an integral part of the chasing scenes in numerous movies and the TV shows. Maseratis have been associated with many such ventures over the years.

A 1980 model of Maserati Quattroporte III was used in the movie named Innamorato Pazzo. The movie featured the vehicle only in short scene. It was released in the year 1981.The same car was used in movies such as K9 that got released in the year 1989, In Rocky III in the year 1982, and The Godfather: Part III in the year 1990. The car is used as a vehicle in the car chasing scenes in the above mentioned three movies.  Though the car is used for a short while in the movies, it leaves an everlasting impact on the viewers.

Similarly, the car in the movies has a history as old as 1963. In this year, a 1961 model of Maserati by the name Maserati 3500 GTI Serbing appeared the movie called Doctor in Distress. The movie was released in the year 1963. A still older model of the car, a 1954 Maserati A6 GCS Berlinetta appears as background vehicle in the movie, Great Cars that released in the year 2004. The movie also features a 1960 model Maserati  3500 GT Vignale Spider .It is also used as a background vehicle in the movie. The cars in the movie seem to be one of the vintage cars in the movie.

When it comes to the sports cars in the media, movies and TV shows again form an integral part of their appearances. For example, Maserati  4CL and Maserati  4CLT are used in the TV show named World’s Greatest F1 Cars. The show features various other cars along with the memorable Maserati sports cars.

Through various exhibitions in the movies and the TV shows, various models of the car have gained popularity and contributed to the sales of the cars. The technique of showing the cars in the electronic media has proved to be an effective promotional tactic for the company. At the same time, it has given the luxury cars a historical aspect as they appear in ages old movies also. The cars will always be there in the movies and in the minds of the people through these movies and TV shows. The Maserati cars have gained this importance not only because of the elegant and luxurious looks but also because of the style quotient it carries.
