Used high-end cars are rising in value

Jul 30th, 2009 by Maseratifan

With the recent data from BCA, it looks like demand for used exotic cars is rising. According to the June nationwide sales, it shows that buyers are happy to spend in these high-end, high-value machines.

Lot of interested buyers have been attending BCA’s used car sales program and the bidding has been very spirited and some cars were sold in six figures which is unusual for used cars. So it clearly shows that buyers are interested in buying used exotic cars even though it might be slightly costlier.

Some of the cars which have been in demand at the BCA program are Bentley, Maserati, BMW, Aston Martin and Audi. Recently a 2007 Maserati Quotttoporte V8 Executive GT which had just been driven just 23,000 miles sold for $68,000. Other strong sellers in recent weeks include Ferrari Maranello which sold for $78,000, Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe which sold for $140,000 and Gallardo Spyder Roadster for $150,000.

Simon Henstock, BCA’s UK Operations Director commented “Last year values for sporting and performance models came under pressure and it was widely believed the reduction in City bonuses affected demand earlier in 2009, ironically just as other used car sectors were recovering. Interest has been building all year, however, and values have improved notably in recent weeks.”
He added “Even with a more receptive marketplace, successfully remarketing for luxury and prestige cars calls for a different approach than you would take with ‘bread and butter’ fleet or lease cars. The key to remarketing high-value product is exposure in the appropriate media to reach the right audience of buyers, combined with a dedicated marketing campaign to get the message across.”

BCA frequently arranges Top Car sales throughout its nationwide network and is a famous name in used car sales. So in case you are looking to buy a used Maserati, check out the BCA car listings on bca-europe.com.
